We take this opportunity to welcome you to the Circuit Clerk's office. It is our privilege to serve as the registrar of voters. It is through the Circuit Clerk's office that persons wishing to vote absentee for all county, state, and federal elections may request a ballot. All prospective jurors for Justice, County, and Circuit Courts are randomly drawn by computer and summoned through our office. Our office serves as the clerk of the Circuit, County, and Juvenile Court System. It is in the Circuit Clerk's office that marriage licenses are issued. The Circuit Clerk's office is also a passport acceptance agent.

 

*** IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE NOVEMBER 3, 2020 GENERAL ELECTION ***

The deadline to register to vote in the November 3, 2020 General Election is Monday, October 5, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Registration applications mailed to the Circuit Clerk's office must be postmarked no later than October 5, 2020. Your Circuit Clerk's office will be open on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to allow for voter registration. Anyone that will be 18 on or before November 3, 2020 is allowed to register to vote in the General Election. 

 

We will begin taking applications for absentee ballots on Friday, September 4, 2020.

 

Absentee voting will begin in the Circuit Clerk's office on Monday, September 21, 2020. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Your Circuit Clerk's office will be open on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  and Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 is the deadline to vote an in-person absentee ballot in the Circuit Clerk's office. Absentee ballots mailed to the Circuit Clerk's office must be postmarked on or before the date of the election and received by the Circuit Clerk no more than 5 business days after the election.
